07/12/11This film documents a 3.7 second shot blasting at an aggregate quarry. The stone is Pre-Cambrian, 1,000 million years old, too old for fossils. The stone will be crushed into 10mm scalpings to make roads and runways. The stone is valued for it's lack of shine and it's non-skid properties.
The film was made whilst artist in residence at a working aggregate quarry and was generously supported by ACW, Elbowroom and Tarmac.
